From NewOrderOnline.com (Joseph Barry)
It's been a long time since I thought about this concert but I still remember the thrill of seeing New Order at Queen's Beach Room on the second floor of the Student's Union. Mind you, I may of had a couple of pints before the show but everybody else probably had loads more, including the band I suspect. Songs like Blue Monday went down really well that night, since it was such a big hit then. I particularly enjoyed hearing Temptation and Love Will Tear Us Apart, the only Joy Division track played that night. Probably the one thing that stood out was the way Peter Hook preened around the stage with his bass, and after a few numbers and getting all pumped up, he removed his sweaty white T-shirt and threw it out to the crowd, only to have it immediately thrown back in his face. No false pretension at a Belfast gig. One last note. Pauline, if you read this, I'd like to say hi and wish you all the best. Cheers!
