From NewOrderOnline.com (woob)
I travelled down from Aberdeen with a group of my mates, looking forward to seeing New Order live for the first time. The support act were competent but totally unappreciated by the Dundee crowd who were clearly there only to see New Order. When New Order eventually took the stage, they were greeted by a rousing reception. Despite this good reception, Barney played most of the gig with his back to the crowd and the band looked like they would rather have been somewhere else. Nevertheless, the band went through the motions and pulled off a musically and technically proficient and entertaining set. After the band finished, some of the Dundee crowd complained that the set was too short; that there was no encore; and that there was no Blue Monday. However, I travelled back to Aberdeen (after spending a fortune on T-shirts and badges!) more than happy after what I considered to be a great night’s entertainment.
