First time I saw New Order, having missed out on the secret gig at the Glasgow Plaza in 1981. Supported by The Wake, who were well received by their home-town crowd. Memorable moments: (a) Hooky getting irate at some punks down the front spitting on his bass, and (b) an encore! Lots of people had started filing outside when NO came back on to play a then-unknown song (Confusion). There was a mass stampede back up the stairs to see this!
