From NewOrderOnline.com (Tim)
After a day on the ale in Hull, memories of this one aren't as sharp as they might have been, and I'm glad that I have a very good recording of this one !!
Starting with Blue Monday to the delight of another rumbustuous and sizeable crowd, the band careered through Ceremony to a 20+ minute medley of Everything's Gone Gree, Temptation and 586 that brought the house down. The relative novelty of Lonesome Tonight was a good calmer, and while Sooner Than You Think didn't really work, Confusion and Age of Consent lifted the roof again. A ten-minute version of Thieves Like Us closed the show, only for the band to blast us through Sunrise to leave us in no doubt that the new material was powerful stuff. Bloody hot in Hull, I do recall !!
